What is the International CURE Conference about?

The International CURE Conference (ICC)brings together students, faculty, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss and share best practices on Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs). It provides a platform to showcase innovative teaching models, explore partnerships between academia and industry, and promote diversity of research in STEM across institutions. The ICC is an annual event. 

When and where will the conference take place?

The conference will be held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST / 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM WAT.

Who can attend the conference?

The conference is open to students, faculty members, researchers, industry partners, and policymakers interested in advancing undergraduate research and STEM education.

How do I register?

Registration is completed online via the official conference portal. A link to register will be available on the conference website.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, the conference is free.

What is the theme of this year’s conference?

The theme is “CURE Beyond Classrooms: Strengthening Undergraduate Research Capacity through Inquiry-Based Learning and Industry Collaboration.”

Can I submit an abstract?

Yes. Abstract submissions are open to both students and faculty members across STEM disciplines. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts.

Will all submitted abstracts be presented at the conference?

No. Only a select number will be chosen for oral presentation, but all accepted abstracts will appear in the Book of Abstracts.

Can faculty members publish full papers?

Yes. Faculty members may publish full papers in the Conference Proceedings for a processing fee of $10.
